Body Transformation Contest: Success Stories

We would like to share two FIREBELLZ success stories. I would like the thank Valorie and Reschonda for sharing their stories. We are very proud of these ladies. They have made tremendous PROGRESS at FIREBELLZ and they are now moving on to the next part of their journey. They were both selected for the FIREBELLZ intern program as well as selected to be part of the BTC team.

Here is what they had to say.

For years it was a vicious cycle of working out really hard for a few months, getting burnt out, giving up, watching the weight creep up, getting depressed, then rinse and repeat the cycle again. Then I found FIREBELLZ…

I had my first personal session in March 2013 with Zar. It was hard work and I was really out of shape, but determined to keep going. I signed up for BTC X as soon as I found out about it. The BTC was amazing! I lost 14.8 pounds and dropped 3.5% body fat. I can’t say enough good things about this program. I learned more about nutrition than ever before. I learned that fat is NOT the evil that so many people make it out to be. I started eating whole foods and stopped eating processed junk. I never felt like I was on a diet and never felt like I was being deprived. I had tons of energy and felt great! The staff was there every step of the journey. The workshops were packed with great information. I loved that they made you sit down and actually think about what your goals were. I think that’s one of the biggest steps that some of us skip on the journey to get healthy. I also really liked the accountability and tracking. Every week, I knew if I was meeting my goals of getting stronger while losing weight.

I didn’t participate in the next BTC, but when BTC XII came along, I felt it was time to reevaluate my goals. So, I joined again. The experience was even better the second time around! I not only met my goals, but exceeded them. Since I’ve started training at FIREBELLZ, I’ve lost a little over 35 pounds and a little more than 7% body fat! I feel like the BTC was a great program to kick start a life time of healthy habits. FIREBELLZ is an amazing place to train. It’s the place I go to improve the health of my mind and my body.



I began training at FIREBELLZ in September 2013, upon the recommendation of my physical therapist. I was in physical therapy because of a bad ankle injury as a result of running. I was frustrated because I was not able to perform the same level of activity that I was once accustomed to. It was important to me that I continue my quest to increase muscle and reduce fat, which is why I decided to give kettlebells a try.

I will admit that the first time I worked out at FIREBELLZ, I was little intimidated by the kettlebells. I was accustomed to performing weight bearing exercises that included dumbbells, barbells, and various workout machines. After a few introductory classes, I realized what a great workout it was because it incorporated several muscles groups all at once. I also loved that fact that safety and proper alignment were a very important focus of the training.  I did not want to have another injury that would once again slow down my fitness efforts.

My biggest struggle has always been my nutrition, which is why I decided to enroll in the BTC Program. This was one of the best decisions that I could have made. I needed to have some type of accountability in terms of my diet, and this is exactly what the program did for me. The fact that I turned in a weekly log of my meals, I became more conscious of what I was putting into my mouth. I also enjoyed the nutrition classes that were offered at no charge. I was given useful information, and I didn’t feel like it was another horrible diet to endure.

I believe that everything happens in life for a reason. Perhaps, if I hadn’t injured my ankle, I would not have become a member of FIREBELLZ. I have lost about 12 pounds and 4% body fat. I feel so much more energized in my day to day activities, and have realized that you don’t have to perform crazy, grueling workouts in order to obtain great results. I also love the fact that the workout programs are always challenging and not a typical cookie cutter program.
